7. INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR FOR PRACTICE FIRMS 2006

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS IN ACTION
On April 6st and 7th, 2006. godine, seventh  International Trade Fair for Practice Firms was held at the Zagreb Fair Venue. Trade Fair was organized by Grammar school and economic high school Benedikt Kotruljević. This year's Trade Fair was organized in cooperation with the Vocational Education Agency and sponsored by Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship.

Grammar school and economic high school is the only representative of worldwide practice firms network EUROPEN-PEN INTERNATIONAL in the Republic of Croatia. Central Office for Practice Firms is situated within the school, and it coordinates and supports more than a hundred practice firms from Croatia.

Trade Fair, with about 750 exhibitors and 83 practice firms coming from nine countries, was opened by Mr Ivan Bračić, deputy minister of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship  of the Republic of Croatia.  Representatives of Vocational Education Agency, Ministry of Science, Education  and Sports , Embassies accredited in the Republic of Croatia and Croatian media were also present at the Opening ceremony.

During two days of the Trade Fair students were exhibiting and selling its products and services, closing deals and made the overall income in amount of more than 3.000,000 euro. That way they have combined the theoretical knowledge with practice. In order to make the Trade Fair more unique, Croatian Central Office for Practice Firms VB ZAGREB few years ago created unique competition for practice firms „BENKO“ that awards the best and the most successful exhibitors. The competition is well known among sponsors who gladly award the competition winners.
Trade Fair was also good opportunity to present our new international programme, International business, that enables students who finish economic department at Grammar school and economic high school Benedikt Kotruljević to gain internationally recognized high school diploma along with the national graduation diploma.
More than 1000 exhibitors, visitors, school partners, primary school students and curious parents have visited our Trade Fair firstly because they were eager to seee young entrepreneurs.
